For this project we had to do an interaction piece. I needed to make two or more things that interact with each other. For my piece I created two ducks that were different sizes. One duck was big to symbolize an adult duck and the other was small to symbolize a baby duck. I also carved names into the ducks to help portray how they interact.
My inspiration for this piece was my daughter. On the small duck I carved Isabel's name into it to show that she's the baby duck. On the big duck I carved mommy and daddy onto each side to show that the big duck is used to represent us as parents. Also the big duck's head is turned just a little to show that the duck is protecting the baby duck like we would do as parents because we care for our child.
I think my ducks came out better than I thought they would. I really like them. I love the baby duck the most though cause it came out better than the big one and it has Isabel's name on it. When I get to glaze my ducks I'll do one pink and then one green cause thats the colors in Isabel's room.
